Design & Wayfinding
DiverseID has a talented team of designers and consultants with experience in sign programming, wayfinding methodology and sign fabrication details. Our sign programming services conform to the processes established by the Society for Environmental Graphic Design (SEGD), and meet State and Federal Codes including the Uniform Fire Code and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Regulations.
The three phases of our sign programming services include: Research, Design & Wayfinding Plan:
• Research – We start by gathering as much information as possible about the property by meeting with key personnel to determine the needs and goals of their sign program. We also verify what local, state and federal codes need to be considered.
• Design – Color conceptual drawings are created to illustrate the look and feel of the sign program along with a hierarchical menu of sign type graphic layouts. The drawings are reviewed to ensure functionality of the signage and to ensure that it blends with the architecture.
• Wayfinding Plan – We start with reviewing the most current floor plans. We also perform site visits for existing large properties with renovations. After the analysis is completed, the Wayfinding Plan is prepared and includes a Message Schedule and Location Plans. The Message Schedule lists each sign recommended, its exact copy and its cost. The Location Plans show where each sign should be located on site.
We provide Design & Wayfinding Services for both Interior and Exterior Signage Systems for individual sites as well as national organizations in the following markets:
